Ground Zero Yellow Basket Coax...had a set of mmats pa601cx in there as well...both fantastic, warm speakers...the Zero's can play a little lower and take a few more watts so I kept them.

Not sure if you are in Canada or not but the mmats are for sale.

I just installed the Hertz 4 speaker system including the 600 watt amp in my Ultra. Very loud and clear. Little low base. Might consider the 6x9's in the saddlebags. I would recommend Volunteer Audio. Call them ask and ask what's the best for you.

Are you happy with the front speakers? Or are they really bright on the highs? I assume you went with the hertz Neos. Anyways I went through Volunteer Audio and got their latest Hertz amp and 6x9s for the lids, the fronts still doing some homework

Ok guys, I placed an order for the Hertz SP4.900 and hertz 6x9s neos for the rear. Now I really need some good 6.5 for the fronts. Something that would kinda drop in but if little mod is needed I will consider

I'm confident he won't knock his system...but I'm telling you, 165 Neo's have a 96.5db and freq of 100hz...they are meant to be LOUD and HIGH.

The latest amp from Hertz gives a clean 160w @ 4ohms...the 6x9's in the lids will love that. Over the last year and a bit I have tried many speakers...I can confidently say, mmats or Yellow Baskets in your fairing will be just right.

If you really want a set of 165's, I have them...as well as a set of Mmats...believe me...I've tried them. Now if you plan on running a DSP, you might have more control over the speakers so for that maybe ask members who have a DSP.

Agreed, Hertz 6x9 in the rear should balance out with some base.165 Neos in the front have good highs.

You won't regret it...I currently have them running off a SounDigital 1200.4 in the fairing @ 180w crossed @ 90hz. An 800.4 bridged will do the job as well.

The GZ coax are going to be dependent on the watts you have. If the amp you are using is 140 watts per channel, you are better off with the Mmats.
I will take the Mmats coax at 140 watts per channel, over the GZ coax at 200 watts per channel.
And for the fairing, I would take either the GZ coax or the Mmats over the Hertz SX 165 neo coax. The Hertz works great in the tour pack, and I could see it working well out of the lowers as well.
I run 225 watts per channel to my GZ coax, with no DSP, and I prefer the Mmats coax at 150 watts per channel with a DSP on my other bike.
