I have a 21 Roadglide with a stock antenna that gets terrible reception. A friend has the same bike with no issues. I’ve tried a different antenna but didn’t work. Not sure what to do

One question I would ask you is have you added an amplifier to your fairing? If so most of these little class D amplifiers spew RF interference like crazy and will kill FM radio reception.
If you have not added anything like that maybe check your antenna cable for continuity. I found on my bike that somewhere along the cable going from the antenna mount to the radio the center conductor had broken. When I checked it with an ohm meter it read completely open. I got a spare antenna I had laying around the basement and plugged it straight into the head unit and got better reception, so I replaced that antenna cable to actually get the signal from the antenna to the head unit and was able to pull in more stations.
