Need the pro's advice, recently installed GZ yellow baskets & Sound Digital 400.4 and it just isn't as loud as I expected. It's on a '22 RG, I got the radio flashed, bridged the amp that's set to 28.3V and the crossover set approximately 80hz. It's only 2 speaker set-up just expected louder. Any ideas what I may have wrong or to check? TIA
Such a loaded question...where are you listening to it? In the garage, out on the road...where are you getting your music source from?
I will tell you from personal experience...those speakers with anything above 25v get nice & loud. Best bang for buck in the coaxial department in my opinion.
That's why I'm seeking help. I did alot of reading before I bought what I did and know everyone praised them. In the garage it sounds loud as it should, out on the road just couldn't hear it like expected. I've tried Bluetooth and Android Auto USB cable playing pandora, you tube music, etc. I know it's tough question to answer.
That's just it...in the garage it will always be loud...acoustics bouncing all over the walls. How fast you travelling before you realize you can't hear it as good as you'd like?
Was on back roads playing with it so I'd say 55-60.
Someone else can chime in on the flash etc but @ 55-60kph, they should still be decent against the elements. You can also try bumping up the voltage to about 28v and cross around 90-100hz.

I have the same set up and at 55 60 mph / 96.5 kph , you should have no problem hearing them at 1 or 2 clicks past 1/2 volume on my GTS head unit , I play music direct from a flash drive in the USB port.
