Default 2021 FLHTP Cop bike

Has anyone successfully adding a factory radio to a 2021 FLHTP or later COP bike?
My bike is awesome that it came with a 114 and RDRS but this seems to interfere with adding a factory radio.

1. I've bought the later model H-D 71500629 lighted hand controls and dash mounted fog light switch. (I haven't been to the dealer to program the BCM, so the dash switch controls the fog lights and not the RED COP hand control switch.)
2. I'm currently buying a 4.3 BOOM radio from a fellow forum member for my experiment .
3. I have also purchased the Metra BC-9700P Cop bike radio wiring harness.
If all goes well, I see the new Soundstream radio in my future.

Anyone been successful?

Thanks,
Ron P.

The newer cop bikes normally have the audio harness in the fairing but you will need the harnesses for the speaker pods to connect to the main harness in the fairing.

The switch packs are plug and play but I can not remember if reprogramming of the BCM is needed for the audio portion of the switches.

The last one I did a couple years back was fairly simple.

Definitely interested in hearing more. I anticipate doing this eventually as well.

Contact Volunteer Audio

It’s light work for them to make it happen. There is even a cool video of a police bike install on their YouTube page.

My 2021. FLHTP didnt have the fairing radio harness installed from the factory. I contemplated buying a wrecked touring bike harness but the cop bikes have an odd option configuration, close to a Limited without the radiators. I did purchase the Metra cop bike radio harness, so I’ll start with it.

My current setup is a Bluetooth receiver with a Focal Sport 4x150 amp & four 6.5 MMats in the dash and lowers. Looking to get the accessory lighted hand controls to operate a factory deck.

Jay said they couldn’t get the 2021 to work with the hand controls.

Default update

Update:
1. bought 4.3 Boom radio from a member here and have it mounted
2. bought and received the Metra BC-9700p cop bike radio harness to in stall the factory radio or something similar.

Now the odd stuff.
1. Metra radio wiring harness has:
a. 30 pin factory radio connector
b. hand control connectors (appears to be an in and out connection with the clutch-side)
c. speaker terminals
d. fused battery and ground wire but no switched power wire. (makes me wonder if it will turn off with the ignition switch & really don't see how it could)

Just wondering if anyone has been down this road or do i need to start looking for a Electra glide wiring harness with the factory radio wiring?

Thanks, Ron P.
