I started setting up my new Cicada DSP amp. So far pretty good. But now I need to finish it off. It's been suggested to RTA the EQ using white noise. Never done this before. I down loaded an app on my phone, which is not perfect but it works. Advice on easiest way to do this ? Not really sure what the end product is supposed to be, as far as the RTA graph is concerned.
You're looking to achieve a flat signal
The white noise contains all frequencies
So play the white noise and use the DSP to adjust for a flat signal.
Generally better to cut frequencies than to boost them

Not sure if something has run a muk. No matter what I do with the EQ, the pink noise meter doesn't change hardly at all ! Even if I make a huge adjustment.
