Out of the blue my volume up button is not functioning. All other stereo controls seem to function incl. volume down.
jvc h/u with axxess aswc1. Could this be related to the control module needing a reset or is it more likely the volume button itself? All was fine yesterday….ugh!
not sure about pre-rushmore hand controls but it's pretty common to have that switch go south. I'm on my 3rd left hand switch pack in 65K Km for that exact problem. Try the reset first though.

Thanks for the info. I’m gonna look into it a little further on the weekend. That particular volume switch has been loose for a while so maybe that’s it. Did you change the whole left side pack or just the volume button?
Rushmore's (2014 and after) went to "switch packs"... any one of them screw up you replace the whole unit on that side. Yours should have individual "components" or switches to swap out. IMO, yours is possibly a cheaper fix... but more of a pain. As you're taking the clam shells apart, pay attention to how the wiring in there is routed around, or fitted into that space (maybe take close up pics). Its such a tight space inside there, that getting it all back together can be frustrating at times.
My 2009 Street Glide with Sony HU and axxess aswc1 volume down would work here and there. Then sometimes mode would be incorrect. I finally narrowed down to a bad wire harness that plugs into factory harness. So it could be your handlbar switch, bad wire, bad ground, bad axxess. There's a few things to check.

True enough, it’s just that it had been working flawlessly for 5 years and it’s just the volume up that is fubar. Everything else works as it should. Will try and narrow it down. And thanks
Well today it works as intended. Only difference was today it worked after the bike had been started. Prior I was trying it only on Acc. But it always worked before whether running or Acc.
So who knows….Road gremlins maybe…but the bell should have warded that off!

Well spoke too soon. It seems to be working on again/off again. Will check connections and perhaps reset the aswc1 too.

Mine would always work whenever I turned the bike on. Then after riding, the volume down always went out. I tried 3 different ASEC1's and reset a bunch of times. Always came back.
I actually still need to try out my new wire harness on the road. I've tried in garage and no issues, so hopefully it's fixed.
