Default Soundstream Maestro Question

Considering replacing the BOOM GT head unit in my 2017 Road Glide Special with a Soundstream HDHU 14 head unit. I’m assuming I go with the SI version. But what about the Maestro units? Do I need one to keep handlebar controls? Do I get the RR or the RR2? What’s the difff? The descriptions on these vendor’s sites are woefully lacking info.

thanks
steve

I installed the SI in my 17 street glide this winter and love it, you will need the Maestro RR to keep the handlebar controls. If you order from Volunteer it comes pre programmed ready to go to match factory controls..

The difference is the RR2 has Bluetooth. But in our application the Bluetooth feature in the RR2 isn’t helpful because it requires you to push a button on the unit itself, you’ll still have to pop the fairing. So just go with the original RR.

Thanks. You just saved me $50, I think!
