amp cut out
Just got the new Soudstream and running SD800.4 with 4 yellow baskets 6.5 SPL tuned with O scope amp will cut out when turned up pretty high gain is just under halfway b4 it clipped. I'm told I need a bigger amp to stop this and I'm putting too much demand on the 800 .....does this seem right? will the SD 1200 do the job?

I have the filter set on HP (high pass) about 70Hz tuned gain with O Scope radio vol set at 35 goes to 50 nice clean wave on scope right at 20.4V output on amp per meter EQ set at flat. lock it all down and put music to it and it shuts off or cuts out anything above 28 turn vol to 24 and it plays fine. Double-check all connections and pos/neg on speakers

Could it be the old problem with the GZ's forcing the amp into a fault mode? Maybe you got a bad GZ that's causing the problem. It happened to me a couple years ago with two amps and it was the GZ speaker...
