When using the thumb controls one movement results in a double tap over half the time. For example...im on volume 15 and one click takes me to 17. Also it will skip over a song so it does this both up/down and left/right.
I have the same issue. While the back toggle results in one single movement.
I talked to SS/PP and they said since it is a Scocshe part that they could not warranty it but I did an online chat with Scosche and they suggested to try this first and if it doesn't work they will warranty the part. They were super helpful.
Power your stereo off.
Disconnect both connectors from the Scosche module (12 pin & 14 pin connector).
After at least 10 seconds of no power, connect the 12 pin connector (harness with loops) FIRST.
Next, plug in the larger 14 pin connector back into the Scosche module.
Turn on the stereo. Test your thumb controls for functionality.
I just ordered the HDHU.14+. I thought that there was a way to program it?
Or is it just the iDatalink Maestro RR Interface Module that can be programed?
If you just ordered the + then there is no Maestro Module just a standalone Scosche Module HDHU.14HCM. The SI version has the Maestro.
On another note......
I called SS/PP again and they talked to their Engineering department. They are sending me a new T-Harness and another Scosche Module to try. They are thinking it's due to the harness or a pin. Not too confident in this but will keep you guys posted. Especially since there will be a ton more of these sold being they are only 499 now.
