I had the Soundstream HDSI head unit put in with PRV speakers in the upper fairing, tourpak and saddle bags. I didn't realize until the installation was complete, that they didn't have the ability to tune. They just put the EQ on "pop".
Does anyone possibly have a picture of their tuned EQ settings? Can't quite seem to get it right. Hard to adjust at home because of it being really loud, and on the fly (at redlights, etc.), I adjusted a million times and i'm just not hitting the mark.
Welcome to the rabbit hole...lol. You are just going to have to play with it. What sounds good to me might not sound good to you but here is where I started. I'm running the HDHU+ and I started off by setting my custom EQ to the exactly same thing as the Soft Rock setting and went from there. Sounded the best to me from the start. I'm also running the Dayton on top of it for my HPF and fine tuning but I'm really **** with my sounds. Just be mindful of your HPF that should be set in your SI or on the AMP.
Everyone hears frequencies different. What sounds good to me my sound like scratchy screeching trash to you.
Also every system is different in one way or another so a canned tune may get you close but then again it may not.
Set the HU EQ to flat and start with adjusting the crossovers. Once the crossovers are where you want them start with the right side of the EQ and start your adjustments.
You will be limited with the adjustments without having the flexibility to narrow or widen the Q factor or dialing into a certain frequency but you can get some what close.
