I have a 2019 RoadGlide, having an issue with my XM that has been installed 3yrs or so , I was riding about a week ago it was working then it stopped working then later that day it started working again, then a few days later it was working then it stopped and hasn't worked since, got ahold of XM for 2 days and they couldn't find anything and said to talk to an installer, I took off the fairing to see if the antenna had fallen it is still in the location it was installed, only thing it shows on the screen is "retrieving data" trying to find out if it can be the antenna or module or both or the head unit, I still pick up radio, any ideas would be great, TIA
If you pay for Sirius/XM then you can use the App for free. The App will give you more channels then the radio does. Then just connect and play through Bluetooth.
I don't know what you can do to "troubleshoot" it... I get that screen only if I clear the pop-up message when I turn the bike on clearly and go to Sirius, and in a couple seconds it gets a signal and has the stations listed. I assume when you unplugged & cleaned the module you did the same to the antenna connection, right?
Only thing I can think of to try, is if you got a good friend with a 2014 or newer Harley with a working Sirius module installed too, and to get him to pull his antenna and plug it into yours and see if that "fixes" it... otherwise I think you're gonna have to buy a Sirius antenna (cheapest of the 3 parts) just to see if that why its not getting a signal (no signal bars at the bottom), or if the module is bad.
