I have the rockford fosgate PMX-HD9813 on my 12 Roadglide. The clock has a mind of its own once I turn the bike off for a few hours. I talked to tech support and they told me to turn off the RBDS. I did and that did not effect anything.
Today I was getting on the bike and turned the switch on and the clock was wrong. Went to set it and the the unit froze while trying to change the time. I turned the switch off and the unit stayed on. I had to pull the maxi fuse to get it to turn off. After that the unit wouldn't power back on. Then after numerous times shutting it off and back on the unit just powered back on. Still have the time issue but the I thought the unit was fried.
Does anyone have any ideas other than file a warranty claim?
I have just installed the same unit on my 2012 Ultra and I am also experiencing the clock issue. I also notice intermittent interference when streaming bluetooth.
This thread is few months old but i recently started experiencing an issue where the hour on the clock had a mind of its own and would randomly change its setting, the minutes would remain the same. No rhyme or reason as to when or why it would do it. Called RF tech support and the guy I spoke to was familiar with the issue. He explained there is a setting in the fm settings that randomly scan local towers and adjust the time from those towers. To stop it you have to put the head unit on fm and then push but do not hold the menu button to bring up the fm settings menu, then scroll using the rotary dial on the unit to setting labeled RBDS and access it and turn RBDS off and then exit of everything. This fixed my issues. Rf tech support is 800-669-9899 ext 2 if you have questions or need help. Anytime ive ever had to talk to RF support they have been 100% top notched professional and eager to help with any issues.
