I have looked everywhere for the 'volume button controls wireless headset' option and cannot find it. I am running the latest version of the system software.
I only know about the Harley 20S EVO since that is what I have. I'm not sure whether this specific button (to toggle volume control from the headset to the left handlebar switch) will show up on non-Harley headsets. You need the Harley 20S or 20S EVO headsets to be able to configure all the other settings through the bike's radio, but I don't know if that includes this volume control button.
this is for the Harley branded 20S EVO headset
headset has to be turned on and connected to bike and the buttons should show up

Thanks for the very detailed post. I really appreciate it. However, I do not have that check box even showing up. I just remembered that I have my headset paired to the WHIM as a GPS unit and maybe that is why it is not showing up. If you are wondering why I have it paired that way, please read another post I wrote by following the link below. The gist of it is if I pair a non Harley headset to the WHIM using the normal method, I cannot communicate with my friends using MESH mode. I was able to get everything to work by pairing it as a GPS. The problem I have, and I need to do more testing, is that the volume for our voice communication seems to be incredibly low and I max out the volume on the headset to no avail. The bike seems to somehow be controlling our voice communication volume.
