Hi hoping for some help. This is the second hertz amp they sent me first one channel 1 no AC output voltage on output 1 speaker using a 1k test tone on usb stick other three channel were good.So was sent another amp hook this on up and and channel 3 with test tone at 3/4 boom gts volume i get .017 volts ac.I hooked amp up 2 channles in from GTS and 4 speakers out 4 ohms like enclosed diagram I disconnect out put plug righ at amp and metered it coming from amp.attached pics and reading of channel 3 and 4.Channels 1&2 are fine.Company is telling me these amps are bullet proof and no way i got 2 bad amps.Hoping someone can look at these pics and tell me if i am doing something wrong. Thanks in advance
Well they place i bought the amp is telling me no way i would have 2 bad amps.So if i check the voltage of the high level input what kind of voltage should i be getting on the speaker wires from head unit? Can i take that reading if 1kz test tone is playing or do i have to take test tone off? They are saying something on bike is blowing channel and my answer is why is my stinger 700.4 amp working when i put it back?Any help would be much appreciated.Trying to figure out how to prove this
Hertz amp has plugs for wiring harness for power and speakers which first time i have seen this most amps you connect directly to amp by scew connections. On power they have 3 yellow wires coming out of harness plug and 3 ground wires.I have 4 gauge power and ground from battery going to 2 seperate distrubtion blocks the 3 power wires are together going into out of dist block and 3 grounds together going into other dist block.both amps have the same harness for power and speakers out.Funny thing is first amp the 1st output channel no voltage and 2,3,4fine.Second amp channel1,2,4 good channel 3 no output voltage.put back my stinger 700.4 wired same way works fine,Hertz is telling my no way i would have 2 bad amps.I set the to HP on filter as thats what the diagram has it at.I even connect the rear speakers would should work as i had the radio flashed and i set amp to 4 channels and still no output on channel 3.I would be surprised as well to have to bad amps as hertz has been know for quality amps.Talking to company i bought amp from and told them exactly what i did and said if i am doing something let me know. They are telling me my speakers might be shorting out blowing the amp i said no speakers never connected when setting gains then it was power might be problem i said doub it as green power light comes on the amp.have 12.5 volts at dist blocks and 14.7 when running. Then i said if it was the bike causing amp to blow it would blow when reconnecting stinger amp.cant figure this out
I unplugged the speaker plug and using my meter right on the pins going to the amp.eliminating the other part of the harness.i tried to see if the plug going into amp comes a part so i could check for continuity but doesnt seem to be able to be unplugged and since it new didnt want to damage anything

Yeah man, that's some weird **** going on. And if you checked for voltage before connecting speaker, then that can't ruin amp channel.
