Recommendations: Soundstream V2 Stage 4 Purchase
Thank you for stopping by. I am new to audio upgrades for my 2023 Ultra Limited. I've settled on the SoundStream V2 for a head unit and I'm now seeking some help in identifying who I should go to to purchase it, along with a stage 4 kit (HU, amp, fairing and tour pack speakers). I'm confused as to whether or not I need a DSP with the V2, as well as an amp since the V2 has a 400W amp internally. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated at this early stage of parting with $4K or so!!
If I sound ignorant, its because I am.
Thank you.

Scott,
Did you do any any upgrades, other than the V2?
I'm going to go with the ADS-MRR2 rather than the RR, for the BT capability. What did you go with and what's your experience? Did you have to update it, or anything else, after receiving it or was it good-to-to when you received it? I've seen both situations here.

So why did you decide to go with an aftermarket HU? The boom GTS is really a great radio. Everything works and its water proof. Unless you're competing, there's nothing gained by spending 1500 bucks for a radio. Take that money and invest in amps and speakers.

I've considered the options that the V2 offers over and above the GTS. The GTS works well, I agree. I've not had any issues with it.
The V2 water-resistant as well. I like the wireless Android Auto that allows me to continue using my USB, digital gauge monitoring, the 8.3" screen, programmable handlebar thumb controls, etc.
What would you recommend by way of retaining the GTS, but adding an amp, DSP, speakers, etc. ? I am always looking for advice so I can learn.

Diamond Audio makes a nice headunit that comes with built-in hand controls, DSP and wireless Android.
They dont have all the fancy features of the Sound Stream but are also less expensive

I had a SD 800.4 amp and GZ coax speakers before I got the V2, I could never get good sound with the GTS, once I got the V2, the system sounded amazing!
