Head units for Metra inner fairing

Head units for Metra inner fairing
For those of you with the Metra inner fairing on a pre 2014 touring bike, is there any other choice for a head unit besides the Sony 7000? Thats what I have and its been fine, but Id like to get something with a brighter display and waterproof. I was hoping Sound Stream would come out with one for the Metra but no luck so far. Anyone come up with an alternative? Thanks!

If you lucky enough you might try find the leftover BOSS BVCP9700A-MR unit. Quite expensive but good and support the handlebar control adapters.

It's critical to have the A-MR suffix as regular A is not weatherproof. I did install it for my buddy couple years ago and it's still works. Despite they say 85Wx4 it's better to have an external amp.
