2023 street glide - android auto issue
I just bought a new 2023 flhxs to replace my 2019, which burned down in the LA fires. While I thought it was basically the same bike, I'm learning that there have been changes, like moving to a cable clutch, and different location for the wiring harnesses when installing new bars. Another thing I think I'm finding out is that the 2023, even though it still uses the boom gts system, doesn't allow for android auto. I'm hoping I'm wrong and that someone can tell me what I'm missing. The software version is M23.22.27.00.
Anyone else having the same issue? And if so, is there a workaround?
Thanks in advance.

The 2023 Street Glide does indeed allow Android auto. It can also allow carplay.
So, let's start here. Do you have an iPhone or Android. If an iPhone, you need to use carplay. For carplay, you must also have a connector in the faring to make it work. We can talk about that, once I know what you have.
If you have an android, it really easy. Make sure you have AA on your phone. Open the phone and go to google maps - just plot a route.
Then, plug your phone into the USB port in the cubby. Once you do, watch both the phone and bike screen - it should share some prompts. Just follow those.
In most cases, we have learned that your phone will not fit inside the cubby. Once you have it working, get back to me and I can share some other options.
Finally, just for kicks, are you wearing a headset. If you are and it is wireless, I have some more suggestions. Just let me know before you install the plug.
In the past, I ran the Motorola dongle. That was glitchy and dropped connection pretty regularly. This time around I'm going to give the ottocast or this Amazon one a try https://a.co/d/hxLG1DJ. Hopefully the tech has improved.
Thanks for the reply and solution. Happy to be back on two wheels again.

OK, are you running a wireless headset helmet
