After doing all the wiring and getting the system to make noise and now you say it sounds distorted did you go back and double check the amp output to see IF the system was distorting and the volume you seem to hear the speakers distorted?

ALSO how are you checking for distortion in the system????

For noticing the slight distortion, it was only by ear and when I cranked the volume on the head unit above the halfway mark. I left the amp freq and sens the same as they were before for the front and rear speakers.

Before adding the DSP, my amp was tuned with a multimeter and the 1k tone file on a USB drive. What I didn't realize until adding the DSP, both my amp x-overs were set on HPF and not Flat.

I moved them both to Flat when I added the DSP.

Do I need to re-tune the amp, or can I just fine tune the DSP more via the settings in the App?

I wish the Mini HKI app showed when channels are clipping, instead of having to look at the LED lights on the DSP itself. I'd like to install the outer fairing, top vent, turn signals, LED fog lights, and windshield soon.

Thank you to everyone for your help and knowledge! I greatly appreciate it!!!

When a change is made to the system you should ALWAYS recheck the system output.

Adding a DSP can either raise or lower the input voltage going to the amp.

You mentioned that the amp was set on HPF. Now that the HP filter is no longer in play on the amp and being set to flat you will have to set the HPF in the dsp.

Since I'm new to using a DSP, what are the audio filter definitions behind the 6db, 12db, 18db, and 24db - BTW vs LKR vs BES?

I haven't seen or heard of those before.

Which one should I be using in the HPF - LKR, BTW, or BES?

Thank you!

Carlos or one of his employees finally got back to me via text, and he told me where to set my main gain at and then to use 12DBLKR for the audio filters.

Thanks to everyone who gave me their valuable knowledge regarding getting the DSP configured, I really appreciate it!
