So I want to bounce a few things off you guys.
I got a Soundstream WHD.SG head unit.
Cicada DSP412PRO DSP
2 Biketronics BT4250 amps, one in the fairing, one in the tour pack.
4 speakers front.
4 speakers back
Setting gains.........
1khz tone
80% volume
2.5vac output from all the RCAs from the hu.
2.7 vac out from the DSP
No problem setting gains on front amp to 60vac.
Using the multimeter to set gains.
Rear amp is having trouble, I can only set gains to 49vac MAX, wont go any higher.
Troubling.
BUT, I have the amp power wire to a distribution block.
The ground wire however, is short, wont reach the battery from the tour pack, so I have it connected to the drivers backrest bolt, (seems like a good ground)..
Can that be the problem not getting full power to the rear amp????
Sure could be causing issues. Also, triple check DSP settings make sure all filters are off and all EQ settings are flat. Also make sure HU setting are all off and flat.
Did you put a good ohm meter from there to another real ground connection? Add a second ground for testing purposes. At work we don't ground through bolted connections. But that practice is probably a little over kill
I have no knowledge in fancy stereos, and I wonder how much you have. So I would contact manufacturer
