GP, thanks for the write-up and pics--always enjoy reading threads like this. It's your bike and your money, and if this project was worth it for you, that's great. No different IMO than guys who put apes on baggers, fat fenders and extended bags on their rides, 120" and 7-speed Baker trannys on their bikes, custom paint their bikes with flames or skulls--just because I doubt I'd do it to my bike doesn't mean I can't appreciate the pleasure those mods have for others.
As for Leftcoaster's post, leave the pushback to others. Obviously, you can put a luggage rack on the tour pak lid, pull a trailer, or have a buddy carry your stuff if you need some extra storage space while you provide the tunes for everyone else on the ride.
Not for me, but not my bike. Good job on the detailed install, looks great. No different than those that fill up a car or truck with electronics. They do it because they can and want to, other people might not like it or want it but so what, if it works for you, knock your socks off.
Where are you at in Ohio? I would love to see this thing in person.
Nice job!
About an hour south near Canton. If weather permits, I'll be at the Quaker Steak & Lube on Wednesday nite. Last "Bike Nite" of the year, and a 2010 Harley give-a-way !!!
