Put this in the touring section but thought I might have been better off here.
Installed by biketronics amp and 6.5" hertz speakers over the weekend. Pretty straight forward.
But one of the tweeters never worked. One did but after a short ride it cut out. So I pulled the fairing back off. The main power from the battery to the amp pulled out of the connector. Got optimistic. Replaced the end and reconnected. Still no tweeters. Amp is definitely running. Tried speakers alone and there was a noticeable lack of volume.
Any ideas? Could I have screwed the speakers up? Could I just have a bum set? Thanks guys.
I called this morning. After explaining my symptoms they seem to think I got bum speakers. I sure hope that's true. I'll feel bad if it's something I did. The guy I spoke to didn't seem to think there was anything I could have done to screw them up short of grabbing the tweeter and twisting it around in circles.
