Can the 2012 SG HK Radio be programed for F/R Fader control?
Was talking with the local HD parts guy, and he told me that 'he thinks' service can program the HK radio on my 2012 SG to have front and rear fader... Is that true, and would that then be just front and rear, or would it be front and rear, and left and right=4channels... Know what I mean?
because the SG only comes with frt speakers stock, HD has disabled the fader control. You'll need to bring to dealer and let them flash it. I think they'll charge you 1/2 hour labor to do it.
There is no l/r balance control on the HK; only f/r fader control; and, the dealer uses a download to turn "on" the fader function.
There is no charge to the dealer from the MOCO to turn on the fader control. My dealer didn't charge me anything to turn the fader control on since the bike was in for other service. Other dealers charge 1/2 hr. labor.
Iron Cross Audio can also turn on the fader control if you send your radio to them. I don't believe they charge for the service if the radio is in for other service/repair work.
Thanks for clearing that up guys... Had my finders crossed!
Will be headed to the local HD shop to have them flash it... Wondering if they'll even charge me being i bought it from them in late Sept, but then again, if they need to remove the batwing, i can pretty much count on being charged...LOL.
