Default Anyone using an Ipod interface?

Is anyone using an Ipod interface? I want one for my 2012 Limited, but the HD one is like $400. Is anyone using one of these? http://www.ironcrossaudio.com/ipod-h...dsonradio.html

Looks good to me, any opinions or reviews? Thanks!

A lot of people have posted positive comments about them in the Touring section. Just be aware that if you want it mounted in your saddlebag, you must purchase the extention cable.

I bought my HDPlus from Iron Cross about a month ago. It works great, was easy to install and it was way cheaper than the HD interface. I definitely recommend it.

Some of the new top-of-the-line go models absolutely take over mp3 player and iphone in probably the type you're anticipating, looks just like your mp3 player display only it's up on the go unit.

There are a lot of cool iphone/ipad interface/mounts and interfaces out now.

That integrated one is pretty neat, I don have an sg or a fairing I plan to keep so for me it isnt really an option.

see links below.

I like the dash mount because I have a Road King and no fairing, well I have an outer fairing but I dont plan on using it alot and it is only an outer.

I want to run the device on the tank dash so i can see it, have all my functionality for nav/mp3/calls/ and not have it on my bars.

I also like the ipad fairing, this thing is great in concept, but I dont care for the fairing they use and I would like it as an option but not full time.

Anyway I hadnt heard of or thought of putting it in the bags, its an idea to keep the bars clean, but I still like to see the screen for when I use nav/or get a call, I can see it and decide if I want to stop and call it back or no.

here are some mounts you might consider

i have the HD ipod interface and the extension cable (seperate purcahse) to store in saddlebag but routed it into my tourpak instead. It works flawlessly.

The iron cross audio HDPDPlus kit is nice as well and works exactly the same way just a lot cheaper and easier to install than the HD kit.

Only reason I use the HD kit is it was given to me with the purchase of my FLHTK a few weeks ago.

I ran my wire under my tank into my right side saddle bag. I have a tray in there that I set my iPhone into and it's good to go. I just have to remember to put my phone on airplane mode so that I don't hear any phone calls while I'm riding. I don't care to talk to anyone when I'm riding.

i ran mine under the tank as well but took it a step further because I'm **** about wires being seen. there are 2 black large looms on the right and left side of the tank at the neck. spray wd40 in whichever you choose and slide your ipod interface cable right through it and run through the wire trough under the tank. The ipod extension cable (regardless of which kit you use) is long enough to go into the tourpak. I didn't want to fool with the ipod cable when needing to remove my saddlebags. I routed the cable through the same hole that my 12v power outlet was run through and simply put the ipod in a pouch of my tourpak wall organizer.

Great, this is what I'm going to do. I did not want to have to make another hole in my tour pack. Thanks
