you'll need to pull the grommet out of the tourpak where the 12v outlet goes through and wallow out the hole in the grommet. Do not widen the hole in the tourpak itself.

Sounds good, I can handle that. Now I need to buy the interface. It will be one of my winter projects.

Can someone give more details about the easiest/best way to route the cable under the tank. I can figure it out for myself, but want to take advantage of tips and insight from those that have already done it.

2011 Street Glide.

actually it shouldn't matter. if it's FI then pull fuse #4 from the fuse box. This is the fuel pump fuse. Start bike, and let it run til it dies. This relieves pressure from the fuel line. Slide chrome fitting on fuel tank connection upwards, and pull fuel line straight down.
remove 2 hex bolts at front of fuel tank on frame
remove 2 hex bolts from rear of fuel tank under front of seat (silver)
disconnect wiring harness running under fuel tank to rear of battery location.
slide overflow and breather hoses up from in front of the battery
pick fuel tank up and sit out of the way
pop the black cover off the wiring channel and run your wires through there.
sounds like a lot but it literally takes 5 minutes to pull it off
