Default Ticking sound in headset

When I accelerate on my 2011 EG I get ticking sound in my headset, does anyone know how to get rid of this? Is there a suppressor or something? Yes, I've check the ground and it's solid. I just sold my 03 this fall and it had the same annoying thing, and I notice my 2011 has it too, so it's probably something inherent in the system. I dunno.

I had 85,000 miles on my 2003 so I changed the plugs many times. The 2011 however I've only had a few months and have not changed the plugs. Haven't replaced coil or plug wires on either of them.

I would take a piece of wire, wrap it around the outside of the plug for the headset and while you're listening to the headset, rev engine and ground the other side of that wire to something like a headbolt that's within reach to see if it stops. if it does, you have a ground issue

Check the battery ground wire at both ends for corrosion and tightness. You need a good solid ground throughout your bike otherwise you'll get all kinda weird things happening.

Good suggestion, I'll try it this weekend and let you know how it goes.
