Scott Ezzel's bracket problems.. Need Guidance
So I got most of my goodies in to work the UltraNutZ magic!! (Thanks for your hard work BTW!)
I am installing the SS 4520 Nano amp with CB modual on my 2012 Electra Glide Ultra Limited. Im putting 3 sets of Polk MM651 speakers in and also adding the CVO lower speakers in the glove boxes..
I got the fairing off and wiring relocated for max room around the stereo. (Stereo was worked on my Iron Cross!! Pre-outs installed and aux input)
So onto the problem, I got a stereo bracket from Scott Ezzel and attempted to install it around the radio. The 4 prongs go into the rubber grommets to hold the top. But.. Now the entire bracket is angled up and wont allow the 2 screws at the back of the radio to be installed. If I push down on the bracket it will move to the two mounting holes but the bottom of the bracket hits that big nut right below the stereo.
(maybe the Fork Stem Nut?). It looks like I am not going to be able to use this bracket now... UGH!
Anyone experience the bracket not fitting like this?

Mine also slightly rests on there also. Should not be a problem. When you turn your bars everything will rotate together. Don't believe you really needed to force it that much into position. also check to make sure all of the wiring that still flows through that area is still free and not pinching. do a bar swing test to make sure. Still have mine apart waiting on iron cross iPod module.
Hey Nitro!
I thought the same and checked the wiring around the area. The wires are out of the way (double and triple checked). Its the big nut under the radio thats hitting the lower portion of the bracket. Its nailing it pretty hard.
If I slide just the module under the radio without the bracket I have 1/16" space. When Scott's bracket is forced to fit it bows the bottom of the bracket up...

You guys have any pics of the way your finished wiring was routed? Or does anyone for that matter? I can't get my fairing back on though I have not messed with it that much. Seems like the back of the headlight hits the wiring for the ipod module. Man the adapter they send with that thing is big. I really have not mess with the wiring etc. too much and still need to zip tie things down. I was just thinking a good picture would cetainly help.

Troubleshooting: Check to see if one of fairing brackets are cracked causing the stereo to sag. If not maybe try loosening the stereo side screws and pull up on the radio and retighten you might get a little movement out of it.
Also send scott an email he might have you measure the bracket. possibly sheet metal was bent in wrong place causing it to sit lower.

I have an amp on top of the HK radio along with the CB module and ipod module from Iron Cross. I used the J&M bracket as I had one available. It all went in nicely, wired everything under fairing except the power and just wanted to put the fairing back on till I found time to continue. I just noticed the fairing did not go on all that easy and if someone had a finished pic with the ipod module in it I would have a nice start to route the wires.
