I have no experience with the XTC speakers, but the Polk MM651s are a definite "bang for the buck" winner. The specs beat most speakers by a mile, they are marine certified, they sound great (to me), and the price is a real bargain.

Use the Polk MM651s in the fairing. You'll need 5.25" to 6.5" adapters.

The Soundstream amp will destroy the OEM speakers in the tourpak pods. Use it to drive the front speakers and leave the rears connected to the factory radio (you get most of your sound/volume from the front anyway) or add the MMs to the rear pods (driven by the Soundstream) for great fill-in sound.

The MMs fit in the rear pods (no adapters required) with the only modification being new holes for mounting the speakers (no big deal).

By the way, my grand kids call me Paw-Paw Ricky!

I've had the original 7.25", the Rokkers, and the Rokker XT series, not sure what the XTC series is unless it's something new from J&M. None compared to the Polks for sound quality.
