i want to replace my stock radio on my 2012 classic that has the harley amp installed also.will the sony radio and biketronics module work with the harley amp without any re wiring or even work at all?
negative on the re-wiring part for sure. As for whether it will work or not, I would lean towards another negative as the amp uses the canbus wiring system in the bike to integrate to the head unit and the rest of the electrical system.
Replace your head unit, add the biketronics/hawg-wired controller, add in a small 4 channel amp like the alpine KTP445U and you'll be on your way to a good system. Once you do all this, you're going to find that those boom audio speakers (i'm assuming you have those since you have the HD amp) still sound like crap. So you're likely to be changing those as well. The best option IMO for the above setup is the Polk MM651 speakers in the fairing and rear pods.
