I grounded to the vertical fairing, which the horizontal brace also attaches to. Scrapped off the paint and it seems to be working fine.

so i finished my pbr and polk install, first off hats off to nutz, pearl, pigman and all the others for answering my questions and providing me with pics. awesome guys. I found that the vertical fairing support bracket was no good for my ground, the amp kept cutting. i ended up grounding to the crash bar bolt right below the neck, seems to be working fine.

glad you got it figured out. I've only had issue with pre 06 bikes and the ground so I just simply stopped telling folks to ground to fairing bracket and instead ground either to triple tree or neck bolt.
