I've been looking online for the wire sheathing that Harley uses in their wire harnesses. I wanted to run my speaker and amp wiring in it for a more factory look. It's actually pvc tubing for wire harnesses. I was able to come up with numerous places that carry typical split wire loom but couldnt source the plain tubing. Heat shrink could be used but it's expensive and hard to find in anything longer than 3' Heat shrink is also much stiffer and doesn't lay well.
McMaster Carr carries it in various sizes and they sell it by the foot. It's listed under Electrical/sleeving. They also carry sealed electrical connectors typically found on cars and on our bikes. They are in Electrical/electrical connectors and are called dc voltage connectors.
A word of warning about McMaster Carr, if you add items to your cart and wonder what the shipping will be, you may be tempted to fill in your name address and zip code to see the shipping amount. (We've all done it on sites that don't give you shipping until you get to the payment screen). McMaster Carr will actually ship it out without any credit card info. I did that with expandable braided sleeving and it showed up on my doorstep a few days later. I got a bill via email. Luckily the shipping wasnt much and I needed it for a project so no big deal. I never asked if there is a limit on how much they will ship without payment first.
you can get this expandable sleeving from Fry's Electronics as well. I found a place online but cannot remember the name of it. Bought like 8 rolls in various sizes as it was a lot cheaper than the 5ft piece you get from Frys.
Do a search for NYN0.50BK and that should lead you to a good source for all sizes.
NAPA! I went to NAPA when I was internally wiring my bars, I disconnected every pin from the plug to do this since I didn't want to butt connect or solder all of it back together. They have 8 foot rolls of heat shrink that works awesome!
