Just curious as to why there is so much emphasis on the Polk MM651's? Like say over Hybrid Audios or Focals or other brand speakers? What makes them so special or used by so many riders?
Efficiency of 94db @ 1watt - 1 meter (not something you find very often)
100w RMS / 200W Peak
Fit perfectly in rear tour pak pods
Fit perfectly in fairing lowers
2.7 ohms so a direct replacement for stock speakers without the need for an amp
Sound Quality if installed correctly is amazingly clean and clear

I've installed both the Biketronics/HAT 7.1's and MM651's (my bike/brother's bike).
I need to wait for both to break in for final judgement, but am *really* impressed by the Polks (especially for the price).
I think the 7.1's have a bit better SQ, definitely a bit more low end bump (which i like). But not by a huge margin.
Polks at 1/2 the cost, are definitely not 1/2 the speaker!
But like most who want just a bit "more" - those improvements cost $$. So for a bit more low end, and lifetime warranty - i still think the BT7P1's are a great value at current discount price (2 x the polk's cost).
But on a budget - can't recommend the MM's more highly!

Plus since they are 2 ohms you can push allot more power to them with a 2 ohm stable amp and they're marine certified to boot. Great speakers!
Cheers been on both of those sites, and they don't do the MM series, I'll ring Invision and ask tomorrow.
If no joy then I'll have to order from the US. Because I've bought the Soundstream amp to upgrade to 4 speakers in the future, I may get a 2 set package deal from Ebay They are doing them with a set of 6x9's together in a deal and the postage is almost the same as for a single set.
