Sony MEX-BT4100P/Titan ll 7.1/Titan BT2180 Amp and Retro Radio kit Installed yesterday in the fairing only.
Problem is volume. Turn it up to 30+ and it doesn't sound very good. Below that and its good. I took fairing off and re checked connections and all seems fine. Any input?
Thanks
I'd call biketronics for sure. Hit 2 and talk to Bill for tech support.
I only briefly powered mine w/ the stock HU as a quick test, but even turned up pretty loud - it sounded AWESOME. I had the HU set/laying oddly behind the opening so don't know the volume level it was at...
Also just from the stock HU, no amp yet.
will definitely follow since this is basically the same setup as mine (diff HU and i've got 4ch 4180 w/ CS lids).
I know that Bill sets your gains inside the Amp if he knows your setup beforehand. Unsure if you can adjust these after the fact w/ their blessing. I'm sure there's a screw in there to adjust somewhere! BUT i wouldn't do it unless he tells you to so you retain the lifetime warranty.
Again, Bill is going to be the guy to talk to. I'm positive he'll quickly get you squared away!
Definitely set your HU to flat EQ and go from there!
you need to reset the radio to factory defaults.. do this by pressing the button behind the face of the radio. Then look at the top of the audio forum on how to set gains by ear. That will get you where you need to be...
UN-Well that's depressing..So given my setup on a '13 EGC batwing speakers only, Sony MEX-BT4100P/Titan ll 7.1/Titan BT2180 Amp and Retro Radio kit, What is your suggestion for replacing the BT2180 amp with? Quality and ease of installation considered?...
