Finally installed 4 Polks and a Soundstream and an hour later I have a blown speaker in the fairing. Just not my day.

Gains are set as instructed but I turned them down a little more. Bass is set at one over flat and treble is flat. Speaker started to crackle and then just stopped all together. The other 3 work fine still. Volume was probably 3/4s up.

Ultra, my mm651 did the same day after install. Maybe a bad run of speakers.

Have the recent Polk speaker issues been isolated primarily to the SS amp and Polk speaker combo or have there been any other amp and Polk speaker combo's where the speakers have failed?
Has there been any reported speaker failures with the SS amp and any other brand of speaker combo?

been kinda following that train of thought as well but there are other amps in some of these setups besides SS.

I thought I had read where there were some failures with the PBR 300X2 as well. Have you heard of any issues with other speakers and the SS amp? specifically the BT HAT's?

i blew a set of 7.1" but that was my own doing... nothing with the amp itself...
