Thanks,

Just ordered a set.

Do you have any idea where I can get some grills? I bought the bike used and the guy had put in the Harley speakers that have the grills with a tweeter in. Them so I do not have the stock pieces to steel the grills from.

I also assume on my ultra I can just use a 2 channel amp in the from speaker and leave the rears alone. Correct?

Thanks for at comments.

I went to staples and bought an aluminum file folder tray and cut out the speaker grills

Great idea! I ordered my amp, speaker, and adapter rings tonight. Guess I am off to staples tomorrow.

I can't wait to see if this setup sounds as good as everybody says. I have had several naggers and always wanted to add an amp but just never took the time. I am mainly looking for more volume without distortion.

Any pointers on adjust the setting on the RF amp would be appreciated.

PTAG, I used the dragonfly adapter rings, they are not the best ones. 2 holes lined up great the third one I had to angle some to get it in and the fourth would not go in at all. there are better ones out there I am sure of it for the money spent I wont complain about them. if it had to be done again I would go for the better ones.

Well in all fairness here.. the DF adapters have been around for a VERY LONG TIME (both DF and Cycle Sounds and possibly others are the DF adapters) and widely used. These issues didn't crop up until everyone started using the Polk speakers which apparently don't use the exact same bolt pattern as most others in being slightly off. I sent a set of Polk speakers to Kevin at DF for him to check out and he verified that it's just the Polks that they are seeing an issue with. As has been stated previously though, I personally have never had an issue and never required drilling extra holes when mounting the many a polk installs with DF adapters. Maybe just my luck I dunno..

I went ahead and ordered the Arc Audio ones that was mentioned above from Amazon. Actually got off ebay. Just a couple of bucks more than the DF's. Hopefully everything will fit properly but if not I'll work on it until it does. It is strange that some people have trouble mounting the Polks and some don't. It will be worth all the work if I can hear it good at highway speeds. The stock setup is really marginal.

I got a print out from RF that says the engineering inspection data is actual 194x2 @ 2ohms for a total of 388watts! I don't understand it but its ok with me!
