that's interesting.

I though so too. They won't center in the pods. Side of the speaker hits the mount for the passenger audio controls.

Update on my rear speakers: The CVO flash didn't change anything, so they flashed it back as if it doesn't have an amp. Rear speakers are back on and sound it as it was, very pleased with the system.

guys ,,,,,,,

we are seeing the same issues ,,,,,,,,,

that is why we are releasing these speakers in early 2014 http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail....CRK-6652TW-RXX ,,,,,,,,,

these J&M amps are available NOW and I am working on a very detailed DSP flash for our ROKKER XTP amps tomorrow http://www.jmcorp.com/SeeProducts.asp?PF=49 ,,,,,,,,

with proper frequency response manipulation I am even becoming impressed with the sound of the boom audio upgrade speakers ! ,,,,,,

I spent most of Friday altering the specific frequency ranges and intensity for each speaker position on my 2014 Harley Ultra Ltd, with the BOOM audio Harley speakers installed, using the DSP programming on our 500w 4-ch ROKKER XTP amplifier ,,,, see http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail....MP-500HC14-ULP ,,,,,,,,

the difference between stock Harley, then J&M amp install, then custom DSP programming on top of that, is more than night & day ,,,,,,,, the improvements we have now made are significant and impressive ,,,,,,,

I will have the new J&M "enhanced" DPS downloads for both the 2-channel & 4-channel ROKKER XTP amplifiers, for the 2014 Harleys, on the download page of our website, by Wednesday of this week http://www.jmcorp.com/static/rokker-downloads.htm ,,,,,,

bottom line is LEAVE THE new 2014 Harley radio stock, do NOT have the Harley digital flash installed, and if you already have it flashed, just have them un-flash it back to stock ((all neutral frequency response settings)) ,,,,,,

then install the J&M ROKKER XTP amplifier with the new J&M download for the Harley stock OR Boom audio upgrade speakers ,,,, you will be more than impressed ,,,,,,,

Personally I cannot wait to receive the new J&M 6.65" ROKKER XX speakers for the new 2014s ((see http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail....CRK-6652TW-RXX ,,,,,,)) so that I can DSP optimize those for even MORE sound and performance on the highway, from the 2014 audio system ,,,,,,

my new 2014 Ultra is THE BEST Harley I have ever owned and I am having an absolute Ball, making it even better !

Does anyone have any experience with the Alpine SPR-60's. They seem to have good specs. Sounds like they would need more power though with a 88 sensitivity rating. Montycop5, how are you liking the BT 6.5's in the fairing?

They're excellent. Very loud and clear. Great low end too. Only thing is I think I either put to much poly fill in the pods or the pods themselves are stifling the much larger titans. I have 4" acoustical vents that I'll be installing in the pods in the near future. Watch on this thread for the results. Overall though I am happy and not disappointed with titans at all. WAY better than anything else you could manage to stuff in the fairing.

Excellent to hear cause that's the way I am leaning. Where did you get the vents? Do you have a link you could share? Would love to be able to put in whole Biketronics system at once but haven't heard if Bill has worked out the pod issue yet.

Sure. These are the vents: http://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com...odic-vent-ssv/ they come 1 each so you'll need to order 2. I wouldn't recommend doing this yet though unless you don't have a problem cutting up your speaker pods. I'm going to do it so maybe let me be the guinea pig...as for bill I haven't spoken to him in a week or two so I'll reach out soon. I doubt he came up with a solid solution yet cause he said he would give me a call when he did. But he's busy and it's possible he just hasn't had the time to give me a shout.

Now it's just a waiting game. I'm happy with the results thus far. Also I'll be posting some pics of the set up in a few.
It's louder with the stock flash because you are sending an already amped signal into another amp. It probably has more background noise as well. The factory harley upgrade amp probably only uses 2 channels for signal and the amp controls the fade, perhaps thats why only 2 speakers were working with the flash.
