The Boom Audio grills are metal mesh and about 2.5-3 times deeper than the factory grills to allow for the speaker excursions and tweeter. Again you could grind the web/support off the back of the OE grill, but I didn't want to chance the speaker rubbing while it was playing. The two part numbers from the previous post were for the Boom Audio grills themselves, the are separate order items, one for the left and right. Attached is a daylight picture of the Boom Audio grill, and a front and back of the OE grill that came on the bike originally.

More specific answer- The grills are the same, but with the placement of the mounting holes if you used just 1 part number the bar and shield logo on the middle of the grill would not be straight on one side.

They are not marine rated, but with that said I had them on my 09' for 4 years and have ridden in the rain on more than 1 occasion without incident. I was always mindfull of not blasting them with the hose when washing the bike, but I would have treated any speaker that way.

ARC Audio KS 125.2 BX2. I used insulated speaker connectors (spade connectors) which made it pretty much plug and play with the exception of the Power, Ground, and Remote Turn On. I ran the Power directly to the battery and the ground to the main chassis ground by the battery. the only splice I had to do was the remote turn on that I spliced into the powered hidden antenna that I installed at the same time.

If the speakers are a poly material with rubber surrounds you have no issues.

I installed the Boom 300 watt amp & 4 speaker upgrade on my new 2014 Limited. As noted earlier, it did sound muddy until the dealer did the software update.

After the dealer update, HOLY COW! The highs, mids and lows sound excellent. The bass even thumps thanks to the bass ports in the tour pak.

Im a audiophile, spending lots of $$ on home and auto audio equipment. I would have to say that Harley did a excellent job with the 2014 Boom audio.

You had the dealer to the audio flash and you still have all four speakers working?
