Default 4 speakers on a pbr300x2?

My uncle is wanting to run a set of boom 5.25" and his boom 5x7s off of a pbr300x2. Will this work ok? I don't think his boom speaker can handle much power so 75watts per speaker should be ok?

No.............the Boom speakers are 2 ohm, running them in parallel would create a 1 ohm load on the amp, and blow it up. You could run them in series to see a 4 ohm load, but not a nominal setup. He needs a 4 channel amp, that is 2 ohm stable.

Yes they would have to be run in series. Didn't realize the pbr would be 100x2 @ 4ohms. A pbr300x2 @ 4ohms it would be 100w per channel or 50 per speaker. Does this seem sufficient for the boom speakers? What are the boom speakers rated to handle? Don't seem to be able to find any specs, they must not be to proud of them. Lol

Boom speakers can handle about 40 watts a channel RMS, so running them in series is an option with the pbr300x2, but you wouldn't have any fade control between them.

go easy on those gains controls.. you'll tear those boom speakers up in no time even wired in series. They can't handle much power at all.
