Had the SS and it's a great amp except for the loss of radio.
Really like my bk 7.1's but wondering if I can get a better speaker for less$. Can get just the lids for 300 so that leaves about 350 for a better 6x9. Any out there?

The Pioneer TS-D6902R's have been mentioned as being a good speaker. $70 now on Amazon, but they are a coax speaker and will leak water into your bag if you get stuck in the rain.
What are ur thoughts on he Polk mm691's vs the BK 6x9's? I know they are not marine grade. Would put them in hog tunes lids and push with another PBR 300x2.
They are just so much cheaper than the BK but if the BK produce better sound well; quality does have a cost.

Usually,..............but I have NEVER heard a speaker out perform the PIONEER 6X9's !! I've been running 2 sets for 5 years, and haven't been shamed by another bike yet. Don't know how they get so much bass out of an $80 speaker,,.........but ........they KICK like a mule !!!!

Guys,
I know they will be outdoors and will possibly get rained on, but do you guys use non marine type speakers? If so, cause of the cost, sound or sizes available?
