Any place to buy biketronoics at a lower cost? Then from their site.
Yep....
Schosche HD7000B
PAC SWI-RC
Both can be had for about $95 from Amazon. Look at the middle portion of the screen for a combo deal. Not Biketronics, but from what I hear it's just as good. Ordered my set this weekend and will use the resources here to help with the install.
Not if you want to keep your auto volume control. With all the installation headaches people have with the Scosche/PAC coupled with the lifetime warranty from BT and keeping the AVC it was a no brainer for me. I also called and talked to Bill directly and he swung me a better deal than what was listed on the website. Also do some Google searches for his distributors and maybe someone will have a discount going on. Just my $0.02.

Well, im curious as to what installation issues there are? That has been all ironed out and its basically plug and play aside from cutting one wire (from what I read. I will confirm this week). Lifetime warranty is a nice selling point, but seriously...how many times will that warranty actually come in handy?) Scosche and PAC have been making these components for decades for millions of cars and trucks with a very scant case here and there. And as far as AVC, that's a feature im happy to live without. Hell, I didnt even know it existed until after having my bike for about a year.
So, for an extra $100 for the Biketronics, you get AVC and a lifetime warranty? Not worth it to me. I dunno...but I can find other things to spend $100 on (like an extra set of tweeters or a pair of 6.5).
Eastern performance, 10% is the cheapest you will see it. Biketronics won't let the vendors do anything cheaper. Biketronics will match prices if you ask

Installation and programming issues but eventually it gets figured out with a little help from the board. As far as the warranty, I don't know, maybe start a thread and ask if anyone has ever used a warranty. I guarantee they have because we are talking about electronics and things go wrong all the time. AVC is important to me so again one of the reasons I went with the retro radio kit. Much less than a $100 difference that was well spent in my case. Good luck with your installation and I hope it goes swimmingly.

It snowed here just a dusting last night. But it is COLD as hell. I just got my smoked signal covers and new windshield and got a call the shop got it's inspection permit today. Due to a fire they rebuilt needed updated permit. And it is sloppy and way to cold. Will be ordering the system from biketronics here in an hour or so.
