I found this link that showed someone who secured theirs with zip ties.

Yes,you can hear the difference. Lower speaker pods and tour pack pods it's recommended to only line the pod and use a single layer. Fairing speakers wrap with three layers.

I just buttoned up my lowers and I kind of stuffed some polyfil in it. I will remove some the next time I open it but I am not messing with it right now. Right now I am have problems trying to find a spot to mount my stupid Hawg Wired adapter. The wires are not long enough to really mount it anywhere. FRUSTRATED!!!!!

I finally took the bike out today. I can hear the difference in the punch of the speakers. I guess because it is a motorcycle I can't expect too much bass. Overall I am pleased.

I am going to try the polyfill when my replacement speakers arrive. From everything I've read here, it helps.

Yeah, it looks ugly but it helps. No one is going to see it anyway.

I can definitely hear the difference. I went from $150 polks to $68 kickers, and they sound better than the polks. Not sure how much of that can be attributed to the poly, but I'm a happy camper. I won't be without it again.
