I am getting ready to do a stereo on my Roadking. I have hard lowers and plan to put 6.5s in them using the CVO pods from Fairing Factory. Will I be able to hear them running down the highway? What amp should I be looking at? I was thinking of using a Soundstream 520? They are small and claim 100w RMS x 4...What is the best way to use an Ipod for music? They put out very low signal through the 3.5mm jack so using them with the low level input may not work great. Maybe a preamp of some sort???
Not 100% sure this is the same thing. Mine are just the board without a box. They use 12 volt DC, so I wired it to the accessory connection under the seat.

Do you plan on doing lid speakers? If not, I would go with a Soundstream 2.350. No sense in having a four channel amp and only using two.
If you get a 3.5mm to RCA male adaptor, you can plug it onto the headphone jack of the Ipod and the inputs of the amp.

If you do that, you lose a ton of volume. The Ipod 3.5mm jack doesn't put out enough power...That's why I want a preamp of some sort or a bluetooth thingy...

There are a lot of guys on here that have done it like I stated with no problems. The amp has gains that can be adjusted to the input source.

Have you personally tried it? I have so I do realize that it will work...but like I said, you lose a ton of volume...If you look in my first post, I asked about a preamp specifically for this reason.
