Default 2010 Ultra Radio Unique problem

I have taken my bike to several dealers and none of them were able to help. Other than jokes I never got a possible cause for my radio problem, The problem..shortly after warrant (of course) I noticed my display would occasionally would display in reverse. Everything was backwards (sdrawkcab). Now it constantly does it and sometimes the display goes completely blank. It stills works ok and even when its blank it still fully functions as long as you can remember where all the icons are. Is this something that refurbishing can handle or is it fried. Someone said its a short in the crystal display (?) Any idea? Yea I know it was made for dyslexic riders...

Why didn't the dealer swap it out when it was under warranty?

Definitely something Tony @ Iron Cross Audio can handle for you.

I 2nd Pioneer74's question.. why didn't they swap it under warranty. I think I'd make a phone call to the moco especially if you have documentation showing you brought it in and let them handle it. I'll bet you wind up with a fixed unit out of that phone call.

Some 2010 units had bad components installed in the display circuit.
They seem to be sensitive to voltage surges.
It can be repaired

Default Radio Problem solved

Sent it to Iron cross and its corrected. $260 with shipping. Had it back in a week. Considering $800 for a new one or $600 plus for aftermarket it was a "bargain". Unfortunately it started acting up around 18K and 3 months after warranty period. Now I dont have to sing along backwards
