Audio Install Help
Any ideas what may be causing the interference? Where to start looking before taking it all apart?
Glacier- Amps are grounded at the battery. I had the RCA cable running under the tank, above the spark plugs. This is my theory (tell me if it makes sense). The sound was a constant popping/clickiing sound. So I wonder if the spark plug could have been resonating through the RCA cables since the were pretty close together. I have since moved the cable above the tank (under the molding and the popping/clicking noise has totally stopped.
After adding a set of BT 6.5s and a SS 320 amp, my audio seems to still need help. Not much better than having only the BT 7.1s, Infinity 62.11 and SS 520. Needless to say, I am still not very pleased.

Any reviews on the PowerAcoustic amps?
Make sure your gains are adjusted properly.
The 520D is plenty enough power to push those 7.1" and 6.5" speakers.
front. At first, I connected the 6.5s in parallel with the 7.1s. BT provided the wire connection. Sound was minimal if any improvement. Decided to dedicate the SS 520 to the front speakers and give each its' own channel. No big improvement. The little bass that was, is not really there anymore. I will add that the sound is very clear. I am sure I checked the speaker connections a few times but I will check again once I get home.
The gains were adjusted with a DMM. Set at just below 28.28 which, if I
remember correctly, put me at about 3 o'clock on the SS dial.
Note- I am still using the wire setup from BT for a parallel connection even
though one end is not connected. Would this cause a problem? Using low level PAC RCA converter with gains on converter set at 12 oclock for each channel. Thanks for your input.

make sure you don't have parallel and series mixed up.
Parallel is taking both right speaker + wires and connecting to the right front speaker + output on amp. take both from right - wires and connect to right front - speaker output on amp.
do the same for left side.
There is no logical reason those speakers won't be driven effectively with 2 channels of that SS amp.

Maybe I didn't explain thoroughly. I'm no longer using the speakers in parallel, just the modified wire with an open end. Wasn't sure if this could somehow be a problem. Your analogy with tuning hit home. I'll take a deep breath and go over all connections.
