I think that it would be good for us all to put together an agreed upon set of testing/comparison criteria, and then put all of the major speakers & amplifiers to the test ,,,,

geez! do you ever stop? The one thing you seem to forget sir because it serves YOUR purpose of attacking me via the open forum and to admins via email of this forum about me is the simple fact that BT doesn't manufacture speakers, they only sell them just as you do. The product is HAT, and previously it was Hertz which are phenomenal products regardless of what you say or what tests YOU performed in YOUR facility using YOUR testing criteria. Your postings directed towards me, which is blatantly obvious what you're doing, won't work any longer John. I won't be baited by your BS any longer; you've made your point and I have made mine. You have with your 3rd and final attack on me personally via email this past weekend cost you every ounce of respect I ever had for you, your company, and your products. I'm done with you.

Yes ultra you are correct, I spoke with the folks at biketronics today. They told me they are offering a line of legatia speakers. They will be offered in a 7.1" version and the tweeter will be mounted on a partial bridge that is incorporated into the speaker adapter. So the speaker remains a component set but the tweeter will mount in the fairing with the speaker. They gave me a price but it wasn't set in stone, not cheap but atleast they come with a tweeter and you don't have to buy it seperatly after ordering what is concidered a speaker kit......

I'd rather not spread what could be false info. Bill was not in today due to the holiday, I was told I would need to talk to him if I wanted a pair.

Ultranutz ,,,,,,,

I am not attacking you ,,, in fact I have a whole lot of respect for your knowledge in this field ,,,,

but you are the MODERATOR on this forum, thus readers give you an upgraded amount of respect (which you deserve) for your recommendations ,,,,,,,

and all I have been trying to point out to you is this ,,,,,,,,

when you make recommendations to other members of this forum, as being the best solution for what they want to do ,,, and you have NOT personally compared that solution to other brand products in the same field, it is not right for others to take your word that they are necessarily THE BEST solution ,,,,,

otherwise you are doing nothing but promoting one companies product over another ,,,,,

It would be great if the major players in the bagger audio would donate for testing purposes their best and let UltraNutz conduct his own testing and see what his outcome would be. Maybe get a honest opinion on the real deal. We really only get one players results, what do you think its gonna be. Sorry to nominate you Nutz although this will never happen? Or could it?

Mikeman ,,,,,

that is certainly a good idea, and maybe even more than a good idea ,,,,,,,,

but please understand that it is not MY fault that I may be one of the only audio systems manufacturers that takes the time to perform all of these comparison tests, post the results here when applicable and pay the $$ to promote the J&M product line-up on this forum,,,,

it takes ALOT of time, every day, every week, every month, of every year, to keep up with the posts on this forum that are applicable to motorcycle audio on the Harleys ,,,, answer individual questions, make recommendations based on prior experience etc,,,,, (and waste time sparing with those individuals who just cannot resist or have an axe to grind))

I welcome the thought of BIKETRONICS or HAWGWIRED, or HOGTUNES or FOCAL or anyone else in this business to become an HD-Forums sponsor, pony up the monthly fee for the banners etc and the right to make promotional posts and answer questions from the forum members,,,,,,

because if I am 100% sure about anything tonight, it is that many of you would love to see some audio posts without COMMAS !!!! ,,,,,,,,

you really should read a little more thoroughly sir and you'd find that I recommend a LOT of DIFFERENT manufacturer's equipment.

Rockford, Alpine, Sony, Kenwood, Soundstream, Kicker, Infinity, JL Audio, ARC, Biketronics, V-Twin Audio, Hawg-Wired, to name a few and up until today your own products.

Let's put it all out on the table here John. Admit it to all here sir! You are pissed because I don't promote your products as much as YOU think I should based solely on the fact that you are a paying sponsor and then you go off complaining to Admins and Site Owners with the same sentiment of "gee he promotes Biketronics so much it isn't fair, they're not a sponsor". You are too silly to understand the simple fact that Biketronics sells HAT speakers. That's what I promote and will continue to promote. If you pick up the HAT line yourself and price accordingly, then you would likely have a piece of that pie as well.

For many a years you ranked as king for audio on bikes no doubt and I give you that credit/respect sir as you rightfully deserve. The problem as I see it sir is you can't see past your own ego to realize that this whole motorcycle audio world has evolved into the mainstream world of audio and people are no longer simply taking a company's word that they are the best and plunking down hard earned cash totaling astronomical amounts for product that according to MANY MANY MANY forum members here and on other forums, doesn't perform to expectation. You have your followers sir, I'm not a company so I don't have followers. We have what I consider working class people that come to this forum seeking advice on how to do something, and how NOT to do it. Notice the "WE" part John? That because up until about 2.5 years ago this forum was DEAD with a total of 238 posts spanning over a 3 year time frame. People like Glacierpearl, Pioneer74, Harleypingman, Myself (long before I was a moderator), and many others have brought this dead audio forum to life with valid, technical, experienced information and advice unlike yourself who doesn't contribute anything of a technical nature to any conversation other than cramming your product down everyone's throats every time they ask how to do something. Even threads that have absolutely nothing to do with an audio system but maybe an install kit or a handlebar control module question you post your solicitations in. This audio forum has become nothing but a BILLBOARD for J&M because of your tons and tons of solicitation type posts and threads. FuelMoto is a sponsor here yet you don't see them cramming the Powervision, Wood Cams, and Smith Brother's pushrods down people's throats on every thread and post in the Tuning section. Why you ask. Because the product sells itself! As far as audio is concerned (i'm not talking about the plethora of other products you sell) sir you have 2 GREAT things going for you; your amps (albeit priced outrageously expensive) and your impeccable customer service reputation. You are doing nothing more than marring that reputation by posting this craziness in these forums.

sir, I much appreciate the sentiment and confidence but I will never be the one to test this stuff unless I'm testing it for my own use. It will never blow up in my face as it did with John and his HAT speaker testing that it is a biased test.

People want the truth about a product, simply put. There is but one way to do that in this situation and I don't see it happening because of logistics of getting manufacturers to provide equipment to test and costs associated with it, and that is with an independent laboratory doing the testing.
