I thought about getting one of the J&M Corp set ups but I've heard their 500 watt amps are eating up stators on baggers! D'OH!
hmm.. I doubt that to be the factual case man.. J&M's amps have never been known to draw enough current to do anything to the electrical system on these bikes. Different story if you have an amp shorting out but these Class D, F, G, H are EXTREMELY efficient when it comes to 12v
and by budget, im not just talking about money...im talking about balancing life and other stuff along with your toys. Thats more impressive to me than getting "free" stuff from these sponsors and having all the time in the world to "experiment".
amen brother. I have been trying to troubleshoot a rear lighting issue for the last week while juggling a full time job with long commutes, other commitments and trying to keep mama sane with the 2 little ones. That's what I love about the dedication that folks like UN, Glacier, Pioneer, etc have for this forum in helping us make better quicker decisions and still stay as "balanced" as a bunch of crazies like us can be
And what really burns me up is how folks come on here talking about all their awards and trophies and all the sponsorships and such and get it all for free. Excuse me for not giving a damn, but try building a system on a budget of a working man with a wife and three children and by budget, im not just talking about money...im talking about balancing life and other stuff along with your toys. Thats more impressive to me than getting "free" stuff from these sponsors and having all the time in the world to "experiment". Kudos and good luck to you...
Plus, I still have to be able to use my bike for what it is.. a touring bike. I need room in my saddlebags unless I want to go to NC and Sturgis on my Kawa KLR
