Hi all. I recently did the Polk MM upgrade in the cvo lower boxes. It's been really hot here in Utah and I think the glue holding the tweeters in place has started melting. The tweeters are now sagging about a quarter inch below the center of the grilles. Anybody else seen this? Any remedy?

That problem has been reported many times, seems to happen quite a lot with the Polks. I'd say it's time for some new speakers! If you bought from an authorized dealer they should replace them under warranty, I switched mine out for Infinity Kappas. Good luck!

Unfortunately we have all seen that very same photo many times on this forum. I eventually followed the same route as Poolboy and went with the infinity's. The Polks are great speakers if you can find a good set!
Warranty them. But for reference, what is the last 4 digits on the back of the speaker? Want to know what series you have. Sorry for the bad luck, been there once, just signed up again with a new set.
Warranty is challenging as I bought them from amazon and amazon won't accept speakers back because they are magnetic and apparently that is hazardous material. I've also tried direct through Polk and since the speakers are only fulfilled through amazon, but actually sold by an amazon marketplace vendor they are apparently not an authorized Polk dealer so Polk says they won't warranty them.
I guess I will have to try to get amazon to credit them.
Yeah, did the same thing. That's why the second pair, I bought them from a dealer that can take care of the warranty same day, and they deal with Polk. I hope nothing happens to my new pair, but if it does, will cost me $0.
Saving a few bucks up front can really come around and burn your *** when they won't cover them.

My Polks lasted about 30 mins before they crackled and the woofer stopped working. Amazon took them back and I got a full refund. I will never try another set of Polk's as they WILL fail. I went with Kappa's as well....luv 'em.
What is the model number for the kappas? Just discovered a new issue with the polks, one of the woofers is completely inoperative, no sound at all. Very displeased with Polk right now.
