Well as is usually the case with me the companies of old (90s) are changed so i looked into it more and it appears Cerwin Vega now owns diamond, they are relaunching the brand, none of the car audio forums I follow have anything really to say about them, other than an installer on diyma who said their shop carries the stuff and it's not like it used to be, amps are overrated.
Course that's one opinion, on the internet.... You know the story. I'd say let the shop hook the amp to speakers and give it a listen, if you like it go for it, if not give it a pass.
