talk to Benji at Legacy Baggers (find him on face book or legacybaggersATyahooDOTcom)

He can make custom grills to fit your needs.

buy a mesh trash can, cut 2 speaker grills, spray them your fav color and good to go. I did this (vivid black and got chrome sprayed set as well laying around) and gives you the different look for 15 bucks or so (nada for me as I had the trash can laying around anyway). see through, so I can see my speakers pound

Only problem with the flat mesh idea is the new fairing is different... you CAN'T install flat materials with the stock speakers. I know, I have been trying! All the ones I have made and sold have been for aftermarket stereo/speaker installs. When you install new speakers most are installed into the new speaker pod. Once you do that there is room for my grillz. Here are how builders are doing it!

Another option would be to use the Biketronics brackets to eliminate the pods. That may give enough room to mount flat grills. They offer them in a kit but will sell them separately. Expensive, but getting rid of the plastic pods may be a plus?

Hogtunes has a decent metal mesh replacement grill for both new bike fairing styles that might be worth looking at.

I went with the Hogtunes grills. Different style of bikes but same concept. No complaints here with them...

Since the OP already has BT 7.1's I wouldn't think the mesh trash can method would be a problem. He already has the BT brackets and the pods are likely already removed. I did the mesh thing myself and like the looks and it was a cheap and easy mod.
