Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for putting this together. And big thank you to Bill at Biketronics. Can't wait to get the stuff and put it in the bike. Thanks again!
I agree, word of mouth is the best advertising for our products, we do very little advertising and prefer to spend that money on product development. I despise pushy sales people and want BT staff to tell customers what we know as factual as possible and then let you decide how to proceed. I think this gets us a more informed customer base, not one that we "won" with shiny ads or sneaky sales tactics. I don't want that type of sale, it does not fit into my idea of building long term relationships with our friends. From a word of mouth standpoint this is really a great thing that I am thrilled to be able to do.
From a making a bunch of cash fast standpoint it is not as exciting as you would think. Making products the way we do - using as many in-house and local resources as possible - is great because it allows us to build parts we can be proud of with the best possible components and skilled labor. And doing that lets us put a lifetime warranty on everything we build. Which has been one of our goals from day one. But there is a cost, we have much lower profit margins than any of the guys selling stuff they buy a container load at a time from china. So while we will have at least double the sales for a two week period, they will probably amount to almost the same amount of profit. Which is perfectly fine, we are planning to be here for the long haul and this helps with that goal. As well as just being a fun thing to do, which is also very important to me.
OK, done babbling and back to discounts, had to take a break from my calculator before I lost it.
But the best part is your AMERICAN MADE and Awesome customer service.
Just completed my transaction. Thank you Bill for a great price on great equipment and for all your help on the phone. I know you guys are busy with this and I appreciate you taking the time to call me and patiently answer all my newbie questions.
Thank you also Haze for coordinating everything, what a great community to be a part of.
