I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a Zipper's kit for my 98" 05 Glide. I'm already running the required TMAT ECM. It looks like a pretty nice setup but is a little on the spendy side.
I'm running forged pistons and a Darkhorse plugged crank with the Timken conversion so hopefully no issues there.
Thanks Drago for the info. I'll probably wait til spring to check on that. The weather has just turned crazy around here so can't do nothing with that beast til the weather breaks. They can holler global warming all they want but it ain't happening around here. One of the coldest on record for ky.
Pro Charger is working on a system for a VROD just not sure when it will be ready.......

Some of the dry kits don't deliever the horsepower that the jets say. They usually put out about half what the jet says ie 20 horsepower jet will usually put out abbout 10 or so. A wet kit has truer rating plus it usually comes with extra fuel pump and an injector to mix the nos and fuel better. The wet kit is more expensive. The general rule is not to put more than 1/2 nos horsepower compared to engine. Lets say your bike makes 100 horsepower then you could go up to 50 horsepower nos shot without major problems. Any more and you run the risk of serious breakage. Also have to start retarding the timing and other things when running the bigger shots of nos.

Rick
Well Rick I just hooked up my nads it is a great system you should have no problems cause it is so adjustable and the adjustmentseven make sense, the only question I had was in the instructions they said the strategy was not used, but when I set mine up there was a range from 1 to 256 so I called zippers and Bob told me that is the amount of nitrous 1 is less and 256 is max. Good luck

I know this is an old thread, bit I'm looking at the Zippers web-site NADS system and wondering if I need the a Thundermax in order for this to function?
Yes and no. I have on from them and it was literally plug and play. I also put one together on me first efi bike and figured out how to just shoot 20 hp and have the 02 sensor sniff for a lean condition and dump more fuel. I would get it from them if you have no nitrous experience. It's easier and cheaper in the long run.

I was more concerned about tuning it with the NADS

If your planning on Procharging your bike in the future dont waste your money on a ThunderMax, because they dont work worth a darn and you'll get zero customer support. They have no maps and not a clue when it comes to Prochargers.I had one on mine for a total of 30min. everytime you would whack the throttle on dyno the AFR would drop to 10:1.They had not a clue how to resolve this.I took it off and sold it the same day.Save your money.
